| The Drake Magazine is a grassroots journal for flyfishing enthusiasts. It was founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in the summer of 1998 on the principal that too much contemporary outdoor writing gives away all the answers to people who never learned what the questions were.
Today it includes emerging voices right alongside tried and true veteran craftsmen and women. The Drake is distributed throughout the nation, and is expanding into other regions of North America, but contains good writing about anywhere in the world. The Drake Magazine is not an instructional publication, but rather a magazine about fly-fishing, the real sport, written by staff and by regular contributors. But unlike other fishing mags, The Drake prides itself on quality writing about many areas of flyfishing from the everyday angler to the seasoned, well known angler. The stories and feature articles capture the true essence of the sport. They point out that their mag is NOT educational, but it is, in an unassuming way. It is by far a very unconventional angling magazine, well written, laid out nicely and is full of quality photography. One of a kind!Check out their web site and interactve message board...good stuff!
