I have been using Teeny lines since 1981. Jim Teeny has improved the sinking lines significantly in 24 years and they have become my choice for Striper fishing in moving water. |

My first intrduction to the Teeny line was in 1981. I attended a fly fishing lecture by Mike Hintlian in Newburyport, MA. He was very high on the Teeny lines used in moving water and in situations where you wanted to get the down to the fish quickly ( casting along ledges ). I went out the next day and purchased my first Teeny line which was a T300 ( a steelhead line ).The newer TS series was introduced as part of the "saltwater series lines". The TS 450 grain line is an effective fly line for casting large saltwater patterns for distance and for getting flies down quickly in fast moving water. The 450 grain can be managed well with 8 thru 12 weight fly rods. The surface slickness is very good and allows the line to exit the guides with little friction. The running section is designed to be buoyant and resist coiling and tangling. I use this line extensively when fishing for stripped bass in the Merrimack River. ![]() ![]() ![]()
