Fly Line Review
Scientific Anglers GPX
Reviewer: Captain Dave Beshara
Date: October, 2004
Introduction:
The Sci Anglers GPX is an all-purpose floating line with a taper capable of handling a wide range of flies and conditions. Provides excellent versatility
for fly presentation. The line was designed heavier to better match up with the high modulus graphite rods. I have used this line in ponds and streams with confidence.

The overall performance of the Sci Anglers GPX is excellent and is one of the best fly lines in this catagory that I have used.
The line performed well through a water temperature range from 45 F to 65 F. The AST finish enables the line to shoot through the rod guides with little resistance. The core material process that
results in greater air entrapment leads to a fly line that floats like a cork. The head taper design and increased weight results in longer casts than might be expected for a WF 6 F line. Cast distances of 60 - 70 feet were
easily attainable.
